About the DSA - Information on active recipients

The Digital Service Act (“DSA”), a uniform legal framework for providers of digital services in the European Union (EU), entered into force in the EU(“EU”) on November 16, 2022.

Under Article 24(2) of the DSA, online platforms are required to publish ‘information on the average monthly active recipients of the service’ in the EU at the latest three (3) months after the entry into force of the DSA and at least once every six months thereafter. This is for the purposes of determining whether an online platform is a “very large online platform” (“VLOP”). VLOPs are subject to additional requirements under the DSA.

We confirm that the average number of monthly active recipients of our services for the period January to July 2023 in the EU was below 45 million.

As such we remain below the threshold for VLOP designation.

This number has been calculated in accordance with the relevant provisions of the DSA and the Guidance published by the European Commission on February 1, 2023.
